Education Advisory and career pathway guidance

Make the right education decision before you make the expensive one.

JOE advisors give your family an objective, side-by-side view of careers, courses, institutions and countries, and stay with you until your student is settled.

Education Advisory is for the decision before the application.

A university application answers the question “How do I get in?” JOE Education Advisory starts earlier.

  1. What should I study?
  2. Where could it lead?
  3. Which country makes sense?
  4. Which institutions fit my goals and budget?
  5. What is the best pathway to get there?

Only then do we move to applications.

Who is this for?

Does this sound like your family?

  • I'm not sure what I want to study.

  • I know the course, but not the country.

  • My child has several options and we need guidance.

  • We need help with applications.

  • We want someone to guide us from start to finish.

The JOE Pathway Method™

Start with the future. Then work backward.

Most university searches begin with an institution. We begin with the student.

  1. 1. Understand

    Interests, strengths, aspirations and circumstances

  2. 2. Explore

    Career possibilities and future pathways

  3. 3. Match

    Courses and qualifications

  4. 4. Compare

Countries, costs, opportunities and practical considerations

  5. 5. Shortlist

    Universities and colleges

  6. 6. Apply

    Applications, tests, interviews and offers

  7. 7. Transition

    Preparation, arrival and early support

  • For parents

Assurance that the investment leads somewhere secure

    • Options beyond the courses everyone else is choosing
    • Support that treats the final decision as yours

Our independence

How our advice stays independent

JOE Studies works with selected universities, colleges and education providers. Our Education Advisory service is designed differently.

  • The student's interests come first.
  • Where appropriate, an education plan can include institutions outside the JOE partner network.
  • Families should understand the options available to them, how JOE works with institutions, and why a particular pathway is being recommended.

Questions

Questions families ask

Do we have to be considering Mauritius?

No. We advise on every destination. The choice is always yours.

Do we need to meet in person?

No. Advisory is delivered by video call, phone and WhatsApp to families in any country.

Can you guarantee admission or a visa?

No. Admission and visa decisions belong to the relevant institutions and authorities. We promise a well-researched plan, strong applications and careful preparation.

When should we start?

We recommend starting in Grade 9, but it is never too early. The sooner we begin, the more time there is to choose the right subjects, build a strong profile and plan without pressure.
